Product Description
The following projects are designed to complement the reading of Flat Stanley. After reading the story, you can choose the project you think will work best with your whole class, or use the two projects at the same time to help differentiate your instruction while still reading the same story with the whole class.

The first project is a ball created using pentagon shapes. This project has 12 tasks for the students to complete. The project has students:
- summarize each of the five chapters in the book
- choose their favourite event from the story, draw the event, and explain why it is their favourite
- use the story to help them think of 3 difficulties about being flat
- use the story to help them think of 3 good things about being flat
- draw and colour a picture of Stanley
- choose an event from the story that they feel is important, draw the event, and explain why it is important to the story
- choose a character trait (from a list supplied) that they think describes Stanley, and give evidence from the story to justify their choice.

The second project is a cube created using square shapes. This project has 6 tasks for students to complete. The project has students:
- write a 4-5 sentence summary of the story
- choose their favourite event from the story, draw the event, and explain why it is their favourite
- use the story to help them think of 3 difficulties about being flat
- use the story to help them think of 3 good things about being flat
