This is a supplemental book study for teachers and students to use in addition to Jeff Brown and Sara Pennypacker's story of "Flat Stanley's Worldwide Adventures #2: The Great Egyptian Grave Robbery."
The book study includes:
* Dictionary Detective: For every two chapters, students will explore difficult vocabulary used in the story. Students will look up each word in the dictionary. (I used definitions from Scholastic's Children's Dictionary.) Then, students will match the definition to the word as well as use context clues from the sentences to fill in the missing vocabulary word.
*Chapter Summary: Students will answer questions about each individual chapter. Students are also exposed to various reading comprehension strategies after every two chapters.
*End of Story Resources: Story Elements and Book Summary (using pictures and words).
* What If: Students will create their own ending of the story based on the fact that a key event did not happen the way it was written in the book.
