TWO 45 QUESTION MULTIPLE CHOICE EXAMS; 2 VERSIONS OF EACH
I created these tests to be both Spark” proof and cheat proof. The tests are relatively easy if the student has read, and relatively impossible if they have not. The tests consist of a quote from the book (with the page(s) where the quote is located, and a question about the context of the quote. It is almost impossible for a student to scan the page for the quote and establish accurate context in 50 seconds- and repeat that 44 more times in one period. I let students use the book the day of the test only (attendance), with the caveat that this is a privilege, and will not be afforded those who are absent on that day!
The tests have identical questions, but the answers are scrambled after question 6. I have included both MS Word and PDF versions. I would advise you to print half a class worth of one version and half the other, numbering one stack 1-20 and the other 21-40 - then alternate versions/rows handing them out. I have the kids write the number of their test (number each test so that you know which version the kid used) on their scan-trons so I can correlate as they hand them in.
With alternating rows it becomes very difficult for the kids to cheat.
