**THIS FILE IS ZIPPED. You must have an unzipping utility to download and use.
**UPDATE 2/2017: I added present tense 3rd person to the flip book and companion activities!
This packet targets verbs in a fun, interactive manner. I recommend putting the cards together in a flipbook; however, you can also use the cards as single sheets if you wish. This targets present progressive, present tense 3rd person, regular past tense, and irregular past tense verbs. The border of the cards is different based on the type of verb, which makes it easy to quickly flip to the section you need.
**Note: This is best used with 1st grade and up because the choices are presented in writing; the SLP can read the choices aloud if needed. You can definitely present just the pictures to use with younger students as well!
Present Progressive= red
Present Tense 3rd Person = blue
Regular Past Tense = green
Irregular Past Tense = purple
Set Up: Laminate and cut out cards (there are 2 per page). Attach all cards using binder rings at the top. Students can use a small binder clip or clothespin to clip onto the correct answer or simply point to the answer.
This flipbook is slightly different than my others. The choices are provided in writing in order to avoid students simply picking the picture that matches. You can still use it with non-readers, as there is the picture prompt of the verbs.
There is a total of 140 cards: 35 present progressive, 35 present tense 3rd person, 35 regular past tense, and 35 irregular past tense. A poster explaining the different verbs is on pg. 3.
Additionally, the second file contains black and white practice worksheets that you can use along with this packet or send home for additional practice:
-Write A Verb (pg. 3-12): two for present progressive, two for regular past tense, two for irregular past tense, two for mixed past tense
-Fix the Sentence (pg. 13-15): blank page included
-Circle the Verb (pg. 16-21): two for present progressive, two for regular past tense, two for irregular past tense
-Musical Verbs (pg. 22-33): Laminate and cut out the squares and place all over the floor. You can use as few or as many as you wish; you can also mix the types of verbs if you wish. Play music; when it stops, students have to jump on a square and formulate a sentence using that verb.
