2-digit x 2-digit Multiplication Game-Traditional Method
This partner game has students practice 2-digit x 2-digit multiplication by the traditional method algorithm to find the products. Students flip over digit cards, record the digits on a recording sheet and solve the equation. The object of the game is to make the largest product possible. The person with the highest product wins a point. The player with the most points wins the game.
Aligned to CCSS 4.NBT.5 but this could be used in 5th grade as review in a math workshop structure. 3rd graders who are ready could use this as an extension to their learning.
This product includes directions, digit cards, and recording sheet with the structure for the traditional algorithm to help students who are just learning this method.
