Not having pronoun-antecedent agreement in colloquial speech and informal writing is usually not a big deal. But committing this error in formal writing is. Anyone who wishes to be taken seriously as a writer needs to be careful about breaking this rule.
I have included everything you will need to flip this grammar lesson and put students in the driver's seat. Instead of lecturing in front of your classes, you provide students with the online resources to learn the skills and concepts, give them a pretest, and then provide online instructional activities for those students who did not obtain Mastery (90%) on the pretest. After those students meet the Mastery Requirements, which include Mastery on a posttest, you will have a classful of students who have received individualized instruction, who have studied at their own pace, who are ready to apply this knowledge to their writing, and who feel good about earning Mastery on this skill!
The package includes:
An explanation of the system
Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement Mastery Instructions
Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement Mastery Requirements
Links to four Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement Internet resources
A link to a Kahoot that students use to practice their skill
One Pretest and key
Two Posttests and keys
