Floor Letters is a simple game, used to reinforce chosen spelling words. A teacher-led game for a small group (2-10 players) for grades 2-6.
Included is five photocopiable sets of cards. Copy them onto thicker coloured paper (a different colour for each set is ideal) and laminate them for durability.
The aim of the game is simple; the teacher/leader calls out a spelling word and the players have to race to assemble the word from the jumbled letters on the floor. With younger students, I like to play this game with small groups of 2-3 against each other. Older students may like to play solo against one another.
