These three activities are meant to provide students with experiences to examine the Articles of the Confederation and explore the weakness. They can be used as center rotations or as whole class activities. While exploring the Articles, the students will consider the effect on the citizens and apply those weaknesses in a real-world situation. The objective is that the students will become familiar enough with the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation that they will understand why the Founding Fathers felt it necessary to re-forge the constitution. These activities are designed for students to work together in small groups but can be used as individual work.
