This project is designed to cover the Florida benchmarks in Social Studies for 4th grade. Students will create a folder that covers the Florida Constitution, the 3 branches of government, local government, how a bill becomes law, and what citizens can do as an active member of our state. The packet also includes a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast the Florida Preamble to the U.S. Preamble, a triple t-chart to compare the Constitution of the U.S. and Florida, exit slips to write about voting and to propose a bill, and an activity to learn about primary sources and secondary sources. A rubric to assess the folders is included! Everything you need to create true understanding of how our government in Florida works!
