This single page document depicts a flow diagram (sort of like a flowchart) that shows the 6 major steps to analyzing a regular polygon.
Step 1 -- Diagram of the polygon and determining "n" (the number of sides)
Step 2 - Drawing the diagonals; determining the perimeter, side length, central angle, and interior angle
Step 3 - Extracting a single triangle from the regular polygon
Step 4 - Analyzing the triangle to determine altitude (which would be the apothem of the polygon); hypotenuse; type of triangle
Step 5 - Calculating leg lengths and the hypotenuse of the triangles (45-45-90; 30-60-90; etc...)
Step 6 - Calculating the area of the polygon using the perimeter and apothem.
