Have an upcoming nonfiction writing unit coming up? Use this editable flow map to help your students generate ideas, as well as remind them what kind of information belongs on each page of their writing. I use this flow map as a companion to the TC writing unit "Nonfiction Chapter Books" but it can be edited to meet the needs of your K-2 units as well! Flow maps are incredibly helpful graphic organizers for all students, not just ELLs, to help them visualize the steps they need to take to complete a writing assignment. Use it whole group, or as a scaffold in a small group!
