April Showers Bring May Flowers!
I hang these adorable flowers from our classroom ceiling – they make such a cute decoration for our Muffins with Mom Day!
You could also label the parts of the flower to go along with a science unit on plants!
They are simple to make!
Copy the flower patterns on various colors of construction paper. Each child will need to pick 2 flowers of different colors.
Copy the stems on light green paper.
Copy the leaves on dark green paper.
The bees are optional and can be copied onto white or yellow paper.
The eyes are also optional. I have my students make their own so that each flower looks unique.
How to put together:
Cut the back flower carefully around the outside of the petals only. Cut the front flower down each petal until you hit the inner circle of the flower. These petals will eventually get bent forward.
Cut the stem on the bottom dotted line. After cutting, take one side and curl it forward around a pencil and take the other side and curl it backward around a pencil. Glue the stem between the two flowers. Add the leaves. Cut out the eyes provided or make your own. Add a crayon red smile, Add the optional bee. Bend the front flowers petals forward.
Hang it and make your room bloom!
