Teaches differentiation between letters that are tall, small, and hang below the line. Handwriting lines are displayed with a tree, a flower, and the roots of the flower. Students learn which letters are "tall trees", "flowers", or "have roots".
I have found amazing success with this strategy with my Montessori primary class of preschool and kindergarteners. They love the flowers, trees, and roots and choose this activity frequently.
-one page that shows which letters are flowers, trees, or roots.
-79 gradual release pages focusing on one easy or K sight word each
-1 blank page that you can use to add your own words. I suggest using the children's names. They love practicing their name and their friend's names in beautiful handwriting.
