This was created to assist students in learning the concept of using a double to add a larger (plus one) addition problem. Students first solve the double. Then they are given the double addition problem plus one. This is a terrific item to allow students to see that 8+9 is the same as 8+8+1. The last pages include a review of all the addition problems without the sums, so students can place the sums with the correct problems and have their own mini version chart.
This is a PDF and you may be able to print four to a sheet. (I did this and it worked out fantastic to make a mini book.) You may also want to print a large, card stock version for your classroom use. It is a great practice and teaching tool.
The purchase of this product does allow printing for each student and the ability to share this item with up to three teachers. Additional copies can be purchased (at the same time as the original) for a discount. This is a wonderful activity for home school students too. Enjoy!
