3 page lesson plan and 5 page overhead / handout which matches the lesson plan but only has the pertinent information for the students and graphic organizers / space for student responses.
The lesson plan is COMMON CORE ALIGNED.
The focus of the lesson is on ambiguous wording. This lesson can be used to help review Flowers for Algernon, by Daniel Keyes, or it can be used while reading the text. The lesson focuses on Progress Reports 1 and 2 of Flowers for Algernon, so it works great as a nice recap at the end of the unit as well.
The lesson plan is incredibly detailed. It includes an independent reading / reading log task, an aim, a do-now (with expected student responses,) a mini-lesson, models, group work, and even the summation (which has them answer the aim for the day to check student learning).
I hope you thoroughly enjoy this lesson. Thank you so much!
