This activity is a way to introduce the short story 'Flowers for Algernon" as well as work on students' inference skills. Students will participate in a quotation mingle and then will make inferences based on what they read. They also have to support their inferences with evidence. They will then write about two inkblots, like Charlie has to in the story.
Cite the textual evidence that most strongly supports an analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.
