As special educators we all know that accuracy is only one part of the equation, if you can perform a skill well BUT it takes you three times longer than the next person, this skill is not functional. Rate building, fluency training & precision teaching are all similar ways of saying the same thing: work on improving the time and accuracy components of a skill and you will ensure that your students can use this skill in the real world.
This resource includes guidelines for fluency instruction, resources for tools you will need, editable & PDF fluency data sheets, as well as charts including published norms by Fabrizio & Moors and Kubina.
