Description
Building reading fluency allows students to make the shift from learning to read to reading to learn. Students need to be able to read accurately and quickly. These fluency phrases allow students to practice reading short phrases using the 220 Dolch sight words, as well as the Dolch Noun list.
What does this product include?
The packet includes 180 Fluency Phrases using the Dolch Sight Words and Dolch Noun list. The first activity includes 5 Roll and Read pages where students will roll the dice and read a phrase in the box. The second set of pages include flash cards with each of the 180 fluency phrases. The third set of pages are phrases on a printable sheet that can be used in fluency folders or sent home as extra practice.
Who is this product geared towards?
This particular packet is geared towards 1st grade, but can be used with high Kindergarten or lower 2nd grade students.
How can I use this product in my classroom?
These fluency phrases are perfect to use as a warm-up during small group reading instruction. They would also work well during independent reading practice or in a fluency folder.
