Included is a fluency line graph that can be used to monitor student progress or students themselves can record their own fluency progress. There is a place for students to per the WCPM goal as well as their calculated WCPM after an average has been found. There is also a place at the top for the teacher to write the student's current reading level. The scale of the graph counts by 10s to 150.

Some ideas for using this graph include:

-Have student's cold read the first story and calculate their WCPM. Graph this on the chart with one color. After repeated reading with the same story, have students reread the story and recalculate their WCPM and graph the number with a different color.

-Allow students to time themselves with partners over the stories you have given them to read.

-Use this graph to monitor fluency progress when a benchmark reading book is introduced.
