Fluency Reading Centers | 2nd Grade

Reading fluency can be fun! This pack includes six reading centers that will boost reading fluency in 2nd grade students. These reading activities can be used with any book in your classroom.

This Fluency Center Pack will challenge your students to work on their reading fluency, but they will LOVE every second of it!

This fluency center pack includes:

• 6 Reading Fluency Centers for any season:
• Partner Reading (Read a book with a partner using elements of fluency. Complete a comprehension check.)
• Punctuation Change Up (Read books in pairs, then change the punctuation on some sentences. Complete a punctuation page reflecting on how the punctuation changes the meaning and the way you read the sentence.)
• Speed Read (Students time themselves reading high-frequency phrase cards.)
• Reader's Theater (Read scripts with a partner. Complete a comprehension check.)
• Expression Exercise. (Students change their voice as they read, according to expression cards.)
• Poetry Performance. (Students read poems with expression in pairs.)
