Looking for a way to hold students accountable at your fluency center? Never have enough time for students to perform Readers' Theater in front of the class? You and your students will love my Fluency Self-Reflection Rubric with Voice Memos!
In my classroom, my 2nd graders use Voice Memos (free app on all Apple devices) to record their reading during the Fluency Center. Then they evaluate their reading with the Fluency Self-Reflection Rubric while listening to their recording. Afterwards, I go back and listen to their recordings to assess them myself.
Don't have access to an Apple device? No worries, you can still use the Fluency Self-Reflection Rubric with any recording device or scrap the tech all together. Either way this rubric will help students monitor their reading fluency and hold them accountable at centers.
This product is aligned with English Language Arts standards related to oral reading (phrasing, expression, pace, intonation, and accuracy) and includes information on how I implement this product in my 2nd grade classroom, tutorial for students with screenshots and text on how to use Voice Memos, an introduction script for students, and the Fluency Self-Reflection Rubric.
