I will be using these tracking sheets in a folder for my students. There are four different leveled tracking sheets, so that students at all reading levels can track their success. The tracking sheets range from 5-300 WPM. The sheet will be stapled onto one side of a manilla folder and their weekly fluency passage will be stapled on the other side. Students will do a cold read on Monday and read and graph their WPM. They will also read it nightly for homework. We will read it each day in class and students will mark where they got on the actual passage. On friday, they will read it in class again and we will take that WPM and graph it on their tracking sheet. I am going to use this for all of my students because I believe that rereading texts plays a huge role in increasing ORF, however you could use this as an intervention for at risk students.
This website allows you to turn any text into a running record style fluency passage.
