Fun and educational resources to use when reading Fly Guy Books!
Many different standards are covered in these sheets:

-Fly Guy graphic organizer: setting, characters, beginning, middle, and end
-A non-fiction passage about Flies
-A non-fiction book about flies (color and B and W) (2 ways to print books included: 2 sided or 1 sided) (book has many text features: captions, index, glossary, bold words, labels, diagram, photographs)
-Graphic organizer for main topic and key details of a text
-Text Feature Hunt that goes along with the Fly Book
-Cut and sort for Super Fly Guy and non-fiction fly passage: differences in fiction in non-fiction books (ex: author's purpose was to entertain you/inform you)
-My pet fly sheet: students answer the questions about their own pet fly
-Fact or Opinion Sheet: Students circle whether each sentence is a fact or an opinion
-Commas in a series: students use the 3 words to write a sentence using the correct punctuation
-Make a sentence cut and Paste sheets (3): students cut out the words and glue them in order to make a sentence. Then they rewrite the sentence and illustrate.
-Writing Prompt: What is your favorite Fly GUy bok and why?
-Writing Prompt: draw a picture of your pet fly and write about it
-Fix-it sentences: circle the mistakes in each sentence and rewrite the sentence on the line
