Fly Toss: Dead or Alive Math Game! Insect/Bug Unit
Student's love this math game and it's perfect for your insects/bug theme of study. I use this activity in a math center with a small group of students. Students will practice math skills of sorting, counting, tally marks, and odd/even.
Students will shake and toss a cup of toy flies. They will then sort them into groups of "dead" and "alive" flies. For each toss students will record on the included sheet how many flies were in each group, draw corresponding tally marks, and practice identifying odd and even numbers.
My students have commented that, "I love this game!" and "It's so fun!"
I hope your students enjoy as much as mine!
