Researchers have found benefit in children listening to phonological targets and contrasts to create auditory images, especially during phonological remediation in cycles. This listening creates a solid representation of the target phoneme that the child can then match. These lists may be used during each therapy session or may be sent home for use by families.
This product includes Focused Auditory Input lists in three printable formats. This includes full letter-sized paper, one-quarter of a letter size paper to be placed on a word card ring, and a Post-It-Note/Sticky Note size. Any of these formats may be used by a Speech-Language Pathologist with a student/client in therapy or may be used at home by the student/client's family.
The Focused Auditory Input lists in this product include contrasts for Initial S-clusters (sp, st, sn, sm, sk), Velars (k,g), Final S-Clusters (ps, ts, ks), Stridents (f, v, s, z, sh, ch, dj), and Liquid L.
