Looking for differentiation? Fun? High-interest? Look no further! I have yet to find something as effective as these organizers for simplifying, cementing, and reinforcing grammatical concepts for my first year Spanish students. Each foldable organizer presented here is the end product of trial and error in my Spanish classes, the designs that failed got tossed, the ones that worked found themselves here. This gem gives you 38 folding graphic organizer templates perfect for the first year Spanish class, along with suggestions for use and directions. Organizers are ready-to-print back to back, utilizing common first year vocabulary, but each template includes one blank (also back to back) that you can customize for your class, your vocabulary, and your students: simply print the template, fill in your information, and copy.
In here find foldable templates for:
--conjugation (with and without vosotros)
--definite and indefinite articles
--ser and estar
--contractions (al and del)
--formula foldables for obligation; near future plans, etc...
--adverbs of frequency
Typically, I introduce the organizer after I have introduced the topic, the lesson, and class practice. I find that the students who are get the concept, find the organizer solidifies the concept; for students who are still struggling, the organizer helps them achieve their ah-ha moment; and for the real strugglers, they can utilize the organizer frequently until the concept cements.
If you haven't tried folding graphic organizers yet, I would highly encourage you to try it out. My free product includes two free templates to get you started.
