This item is a nicely put together metric ruler, which can be printed on card stock. Students can then cut and tape it, to giving each student a foldable meter stick that they can keep in their binders for use throughout the year.
I created this cut-out metric ruler for my students for several reasons:
-No passing out wooden meter sticks (also known as swords)
-Unless students are buying high-end rulers, cheap rulers tend to vary greatly in accuracy. By using these paper rulers, ALL students should get the exact same measurements.
-Students can fold up their rulers, and keep them in their binders
-If printed on card stock, they can be hole punched, and SHOULD last the entire year in a binder
I've included a video, outlining the steps to get it properly cut out and taped together.
