These folded fraction strips make this activity easy to do! I plan to use these throughout our fraction unit. First we will fold them and write the fraction unit on each piece. We will use them to compare fractions and help to visualize equivalent fractions.
Assembly is easy. Print the strips on different colors of paper, then cut into 2 inch by 11 inch strips. The students will fold on the dotted lines to create the "equal parts" of the whole for halves, thirds, fourths, sixths, and eighths.
