This is a great icebreaker for the beginning of school that promotes language, conversations, and sharing. The students draw pictures of their personal experiences on the 'file.' They share with one another. Then you use their created 'file' to make a folder (just staple it on a file folder). They can keep all of their speech or resource room or other materials in it for the year. It is so fun to look at back at what they drew in the beginning of the year. It also gets kids talking on the first day of school, class, or therapy!
