I've always struggled with how to best meet the needs of my students in guided reading in this accountability/testing-driven world. How could I best ensure students were receiving applicable instruction to the SOL expectations at guided reading?
I started using these book club booklets for all of my students reading on grade level or above and not only do I love them, but my students always look forward to their book club meetings.
All activities are tied into a graphic organizer to help students better grasp the concepts. NOTE: For best results, use a FOLKTALE (fable, fairy tale, myth, porquoi, tall tales, legends, trickster tale)
