Do your students and teachers constantly ask you to help them find fairy tales or fables? How about myths or legends or tall tales? I was determined to find a way to create a system that would help my students and teachers become more independent when looking for different types of Folktales. I decided to label all my 398.2 books this summer, but ran into some problems. I could only find labels for Fairy Tales, Tall Tales, Myths, and Folklore…but I couldn’t find anything for Fables or Legends.
So, what do you do when you can’t find what you need? Create it yourself, of course! So, that’s just what I did!
Everything you need is included!
I created two versions:
1) one with bright colors
2) one with pastel colors
¥ This way, if you already have purchased the pastel colored labels from DEMCO, the Fables and Legends will match color wise.
Each version, bright and pastel, includes a sheet of 56 labels and an 8x11 inch poster with the name and definition for each of the following:
*Folktales *Fairy Tales
*Myths *Tall Tales
All you need to do is print the sheet of labels on regular paper anytime you need more! SIMPLE!
I hope you find these useful in organizing and labeling your 398.2 section! P
