Introduce your students to five different types of folk tales with this PowerPoint lesson. Students will learn what a folk tale is, the five different types and characteristics and examples of each.
Folk tales covered:
The last few slides of the PowerPoint are review slides. There is a summary of a folk tale and students will need to identify what type of folk tale it is. The PPT should take about 20-25 minutes to go through.
There is also a brochure for students to read and color that goes over the same information that is in the PPT lesson. It is one page double sided and is an excellent review exercise.
I have done this lesson with my 2nd and 3rd grade students and it has worked well.
The preview shows every page of the file. Please look at it before purchasing.
**** Do not purchase if you have the What is a Folk Tale SmartBoard lesson
, it is the same information just in a different format.
The file is in a zip format, you must have an unzip program to open it. If you need help with this please let me know.
