I first made a "follow the example" page when I grew frustrated about my students having trouble applying and retaining exponent properties. The simple assignment worked wonders and by student request, I have applied the same principle to other concepts.
The activity provides students with one worked out example of simplifying or performing operations on radical expressions. The students are then asked to complete 6 similar problems in the same row.
There are a total of 13 skills (from simplifying simple radicals to multiplying binomial radical expressions) and 75 problems.
This page is great for introduction, review or practice.
