Following auditory directions is an essential, daily skill. Students who demonstrate difficulty with attention, working memory, and language processing skills are at a disadvantage academically and socially.
Set 2 of the LISTEN Task cards presents more complex auditory directions. Each student is given an answer response sheet. Task cards are then read aloud, requiring students to mark their responses on the answer sheets. Directions involve shapes, colors, numbers, order, letters, etc. Examples of some of the cards are:
-Before you write 1 in the square, write 4 in the circle
-After you put a star in the first shape, put a heart in the triangle
How To Use:
1. Print the task cards on cardstock
2. Cut apart and laminate
3. Print 1 copy of the Answer sheets for each student
Watch for additional Task cards in the LISTEN series; including 3-step directions.
