[NO PRINT & NO PREP / Telepractice & In-Person]
Help your students build receptive language skills by following 2-step temporal directions containing first-then and basic vocabulary. This PowerPoint builds in difficulty as it progresses from a field of 2 items and increases to include up to two “distractor items” in a field of 4. Visual prompts are built in to this PowerPoint as numbers 1 and 2 appear with the turn of a page to indicate the expected order of pointing responses. Alter your clinical delivery to provide the appropriate amount of scaffolding for each client; visuals (numbers 1 and 2) can serve as prompts or rewards depending on the way you choose to pace this activity. Students also have the option of using annotation tools to label steps and then check their work!
CLINICAL TARGET MASH-UP:
Head down to the “text-free zone” where pictures are presented with a light background which lends itself well to digital annotation. Ask your students to carry out oral directions (containing your choice of targets!) using a digital marker.
