We have made these adorable snowman cookie pops with our students for several years, and those who have moved on to the high school still remember them!
Do your students have trouble following directions? This was a widespread complaint in our district, but most of the activities we found were of the “Color the fire truck red. Color the grass green…” variety. So we designed our own fun and motivating projects, which require students to follow a set of directions written for their grade level(s).
Special attention is paid to following steps in the proper order, and students hone their organizational skills by using checklists for the steps and materials. The end result is a tasty treat, a happy child, and a student who better understands the importance of following directions.
This packet includes a reproducible set of student directions, a photograph of some snowman cookie pops, and a shopping list and notes for the teacher.
