Following 1-, 2-, and 3-step directions in a fun circus theme!!
There are two ways to play – you can either read the directions or have the other students read the directions. On a student’s turn, he/she picks up a game card and either hands it to you or to a peer. That person reads the direction written on the card. If you are assessing 1-step directions, only the first part of the directive is read. If you are assessing 2-step directives, the first two parts are read, and if you are assessing 3-step directives, all three parts are read.
If the student is able to successfully carry out the directive, he/she gets to keep the card and places it on his/her mat. If the student is not able to carry out the directive, the card is placed at the bottom on the game card pile.
The player with the most cards at the end wins!
