Use this following directions screening and assessment tool to help you assess and track data on one, two, and three step directions, plus use the included goals to help you write your IEP.
Two assessments are included for lower level nonverbal children. One assessment includes five one step commands that do not require the student to be verbal. The second assessment includes ten one step commands that do not require the student to be verbal. I use these with my younger students who are on the autism spectrum and are not yet using expressive language. Cueing steps and examples for physical prompting, modeling, and gestural cues are included. You will also find sample IEP goals that have cueing strategies incorporated.
The following assessments are included for students who are functioning at a verbal level.
Ten questions are included for each of the following:

★ Two step directions
★ Three step directions
After the screening, use the included ◈ graph ◈ to plot the student’s present levels of performance. Once your determined goal has been targeted in therapy, give the same level assessment as a post-test and plot the progress on the graph to show at your IEP meetings.
