Being able to follow directions is extremely important for students in any grade or at any level. Following directions is a step towards independence. In order for students to move on to a more independent routine, they need to learn how to follow directions in different forms. A simple way to begin learning about following directions, is seeing directions in a form of a recipe. In order for the recipe to come out the way it is meant to, the directions must be followed in a step-by-step manner exactly as written.
In this lesson students will follow a recipe to make actual fruit salad. Students will take turns depending on their level (high functioning/low functioning). Very easy to differentiate
