This interactive packet was created to practice following directions containing a variety of linguistic concepts that our language impaired students usually struggle with in a fun way.
To Play: Use on a Smartboard or interactive screen, such as a touchscreen computer or i-pad. Have students randomly select a question and follow the direction. If they correctly complete the direction, they earn the points. If they can name the linguistic concept targeted within the question, they earn a bonus! Keep score on a chalkboard or dry erase board. Touch the flower on the right or left of the screen to return to the home page.
If an interactive screen is unavailable, simply print and laminate! Slides can be printed in ‘handout’ format to fit multiple on a page and used as task cards. Incorporate into any open-ended game or use with the printed jeopardy-like screen!
Included with this packet:
10 direction cards for each of the following categories: temporal, sequential, locational, quantity, conditional, inclusion/exclusion.
Also includes wall posters explaining each of the different concept categories and giving examples.
Feedback, questions, and comments greatly appreciated! Please follow mw on TPT at Splashy Speech Stuff for more great speech and language activities!
Happy Communicating! XO Erika
