Use this Froggy-themed comprehension activity to build understanding of directions containing "No" and "Not."
As a preschool speech therapist I find this skill always pops up in standardized testing but have struggled with a fun way to incorporate it into my sessions.
Included you'll find 10 colored pages with directions (e.g., Which frog is not in the wagon? Find the frog with no sunglasses.) I've been laminating the pages, punching a hole in the corner then simply connecting with a ring. This activity works nicely with a Frog theme, or can be easily incorporated any time you have a few extra minutes.
You'll also find a duplicate black and white copy which is perfect for sending home in a backpack. I like to print these 2 to a page (landscape) then cut and staple to make a small book.
A bonus data sheet is included to track responses.
Finally a way to target directions with negatives! Yay!!
I hope you and your students find it helpful! And if you do make sure to check out my
