This is intended as a review activity to be used after student have learned about ecosystems, food chains, food webs, producers consumers, biotic and abiotic factors.
Students are asked to complete the following tasks:
Identify the primary, secondary and tertiary consumers in this food chain: Grass, grasshopper, mouse, hawk.
Compare and contrast the traits of a food chain vs. a food web.
Draw and label a 4-part food chain in the jar.
Color and label a diagram of photosynthesis.
Define Abiotic Factor.
Describe the sun’s role in the survival of an ecosystem.
Explain how temperature and rain/water affect an ecosystem.
Create a food web diagram that shows how food energy moves through a pond ecosystem.
