Food Chains and Food Webs
Part 1: Easy to read text about food chains, food webs, carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores with diagrams.
Part 2: Hands On Activity followed by Comprehension Questions
Directions for the teacher included.
Students will each receive a card ( Examples: flower, bear, insect, deer)
One student will receive the SUN card.
There 27 cards.
Students will sit in a circle and with guidance from the teacher, they will form food chains.
The sun will start with a ball of yarn and pass that yarn to one of the producers. Students will continue passing until they have formed a food chain. Cut the yarn and start over.
Once they are all holding a piece of the yarn they will complete 2 pages of comprehension printables.
