This semester long project will introduce your students to new and unique foods that they may not have seen or heard of before. This product is a 28 page template for which your students can learn about a new food (ie. cherimoya) as you display it on a Powerpoint presentation. Each day introduce a new food where you will include information of the food - the name of the food, the main nutrients it provides and a fun fact that may be specific to that food. An infographic could be a great medium for this information. This information will need to be researched on your own. A future Powerpoint may be available in my store soon.
Once the infographic has been displayed on your screen, students can read through the information, answer the specific questions above and draw a picture under the correct tab - alphabet letter. They can also colour in their picture.
This template includes every alphabet letter that becomes a "tab divider" in the booklet once students take the time to cut the tabs out. Each food can then be placed under the correct letter - "C" for Cherimoya.
Spend the first day cutting around the tabs for each letter of the alphabet and colouring / decorating the title page as well as the book itself.
Once you fill up the page, there is an additional page / template to add more food under that specific letter.
At the end of the semester, students will have their very own FOOD DICTIONARY that they can keep for generations to come!
