Food Vocabulary Word Cards is a combination of vocabulary cards, word cards, and lists which is an highly effective way to assist students in learning common, food vocabulary.
*Picture lists are included.
These sheets have words and pictures across from each other and are intended for someone to point to the picture and ask "What is this?" This allows the student to see the word separate from the picture, but still close to it. They can also be folded in half, glued, and cut to make a vocabulary flash card. (Before you start to do this though, you may want to look at what else is included.)
*Picture with word cards are included.
The cards were made for the student to cut out and tell the food (or drink) on the cards for practice. The word is written under the item, so she can see it too.
*Picture and/or word cards are included.
These can be used separately, as flashcards, and/or as a match game!
The initial purpose for these cards were to ask a student to identify the given food or the word individually from each other.
Example: A card with the picture of carrots can is placed on the table and the teacher asks, “What is this?”
->To make regular style flashcards, print the pictures of the food items on one side and the corresponding words on the other side.
->To use as a match game, simply print out the picture and word cards separately. Cut them out, mix them up, and play!
*The following 33 words are included:
baguette, chocolates, milk, egg, orange juice, ice cream, corn, strawberries, tomatoes, apple, bananas, broccoli, pumpkin, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, bell peppers, pineapple, salad, grapes, oranges, star fruit, turkey, macaroni, bean salad, cookies, cinnamon buns, French bread, pancakes, souffle, stew, souffles, and watermelon.
