Use these cards to allow students to create food webs based on the knowledge they possess about the flow of energy and relationships between organisms. I use this for my Pre-AP students and require them to create a food web, label the % of energy passed on, what trophic level they are and classification.
For regular, I give each student a card and they must organize themselves based on first, their idea of trophic levels. Next, we create a class-wide food web on the board and as a class copy it on to construction paper. It allows easily for differentiation and brings big concepts together nicely
