Cover the concept of food webs in an engaging, student centered way! Students watch a video of ecosystems before being divided into groups of four to complete guided research about one component of an assigned food web. Extensive list of websites provided for student research. Once complete, students complete a jigsaw where one group member teacher the others about their category. Finally, students bring their work together to create a food web poster! Food webs should be taught after students learn about food chains and optimally after energy pyramids. Excellent to hang up to show off student work in the classroom or hallway!
