This is a set of three ready to print food web lessons. Day 1: Students will be able analyze food webs to identify organisms’ roles based on their feeding relationships. Day 2: Students will be able to predict effects that would occur in an ecosystem when changes are made to the food web. Day 3: I will be able to develop a model to describe the movement of matter among plants and animals.
Before completing these lessons, students should have knowledge of reading food chains and how to classify organisms by producers, consumers, and decomposers. A lesson for that can be found here: Classifying Organisms
Students should also know the vocabulary of primary consumer, secondary consumer, and tertiary consumer, which is introduced in the food chain lessons here: Food Chains
If you want a food chain and food web bundle, including the lesson for classifying organisms, you can find that here: Food Chain and Food Web Bundle
If you teach the NGSS Standards, you may want to check out the following more extensive resources:

Each lesson includes Teacher Guides, Student Worksheets, Exit Tickets, and Answer Keys.
