Solve the Football Mystery Escape Room Challenge

Bring the fun and excitement of a breakout room to your classroom! This cross curricular mystery challenge will have your students engaged, investigating and challenged from start to finish without the need of complicated locks or boxes.

Students will work their way through 4 clues, each time they complete the clue challenge, they eliminate a suspect. You can use this as an introduction to teaching mysteries or a review day game!

This football themed mystery works great in the fall during football season, or in February for the big game! Can you solve the case of the stolen trophies?

What’s Included:

• Suspect Team Posters: 5 suspect team posters with their picture

• Suspect Tracking Sheet: As they finish each challenge, one suspect team will be eliminated. Each student will track the eliminated suspects using this sheet.  

• Clue #1: Using their knowledge of main idea, students will read a passage about football. After they correctly identify the main idea, they will use certain letters in the passage to spell a team’s name.

• Clue #2: Students will use their money skills to determine how much money is needed to shop at the concession stand and how much change they should receive back.  

• Clue #3: A Morse Code key will be used to eliminate a team from the suspect list.

• Clue #4: Students will determine the guilty suspect by figuring out who lost the playoff game!

"The Big Game" Football Room Transformation

These football themed activities are perfect to transform your classroom for the “Big Game”. Students will love creating a football team and participating in the five football themed centers.

• Super Bowl Commercials- After learning about three persuasive techniques in commercials, students will watch examples of Super Bowl commercials and decide which technique is being used.

• Football Multiplication-Partners solve multiplication problems and spin the spinner to see what actions they will take on the football field board.

• Field Goal Measurement-Students will create a football and goal post and use them in a measurement activity.
