This is an interactive, cooperative classroom behavior chart. I leave this on my Smart Board throughout the day to help students monitor behavior and to encourage them to remember to work together. One endzone is labeled for students and the other for the teacher. There is a football that starts on the fifty yard line. When the classroom receives a compliment and/or when the teacher determines they exhibit exceptional behavior, the football is moved five yards closer to the teacher's endzone. The opposite occurs for poor behavior. The first "team" to make a touchdown wins some type of pre-determined reward. For example: pj party, read-a-thon, bring a teddy bear to school, popcorn party, etc. If the teacher wins the students usually owe a recess. I have these in varying degrees for football, basketball and baseball and alternate them according to the particular sport season. They have proven to be very successful tools for classroom management.
